Going from 246 to 309 on the Colorado Bar Exam (UBE)

Alyssa did everything she was supposed to on her first attempt at the Colorado Bar Exam.

💬 “I took the July 2024 bar exam after using Themis start to finish. I followed the schedule religiously. Watched every lecture, did every assignment, practiced essays, MBE questions, everything they told me to do. I was exhausted but hopeful.”

Yet she failed spectacularly.

💬 “I used Themis the entire time, followed the schedule closely, and worked hard. I gave it everything… and got a 246. I was devastated.”
💬 “I cried, I questioned everything, and for a while, I seriously considered walking away.”

Alyssa retook the bar and obliterated it with a score of 309—a 63-point increase! Can you believe she almost gave up?

💬 “But after the initial wave of grief, I made a promise to myself: this wouldn’t be the end of my story.”
💬 “I worked full-time until December, then part-time through the exam. This time, I approached studying differently.”
💬 “I passed. With a 309.”

Yet another story similar to mine and many others’. You’re not rewarded just because you follow The Program exactly no matter what.

Lessons from Passing the UBE (Utah Bar Exam) with a 314

“N” passed the February 2025 Utah Bar Exam (UBE), scoring a whopping 314 on her first attempt.

💬 “Just got my results yesterday! I passed the UBE with a score of 314!!!”

Epic!

For context, most UBE jurisdictions require a score 266 or 270 to pass, and scores over 300 are rare. So N really outdid herself.

Of course, I had to ask how she pulled it off so I can share it with you.

Grandmother Passes the Uniform Bar Exam with a 270

A self-professed “Partner/Mom/Grandma/Kindergarten teacher” told me she passed the UBE.

No big deal. I asked Nocona how she DID IT so I could pass her lessons onto you mortals.

Among other things, she told me that she passed the Oklahoma Bar Exam (UBE) using a combination of substantive resources and a mindset that gave her better control over her processes.

You might read all these stories and think, I can do this too (true). 

Or you might wonder, why can’t it be me?

It CAN be you, homie. These were all people in the exact same position as you. Why torture yourself trying to reinvent the wheel?

Passing the New York Bar Exam After 20 Years (15 Attempts)

“L” graduated from law school 20 years ago. He finally passed the New York Bar Exam with a 271, enough to waive into any UBE jurisdiction.

Wow!

💬 “I’ve been waiting years to write an email like this.”

You don’t need to be a legal rockstar. It’s possible to pass the bar exam even if you’re a C student.

💬 “I graduated with a C average and was told that statistically, passing the bar exam would be very difficult for me.”

💬 “I am happy, proud, and relieved.”
